Sprint has announced that they will start offering the new Sanyo Taho Rugged Clamshell Mobile Phone to their subscribers. The new rugged clamshell phone meets the military standard 810G rugged ratings which means it will protect its self from dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, blowing rain, and water. Other specifications includes a 2-inch QVGA internal display, there is a 1-inch monochrome external display, there is a 2-Megapixel Camera with flash and video recording also bundled are Sprint-based softwares such as Sprint Navigation and Sprint Family Locator.
The Sprint Sanyp Taho also features a front-ported speaker which is used as a speaker phone as well as for music playback. The handset has a 256MB of internal memory, it comes with a 1GB microSD card and will support cards up to 32GB. Sprint will start offering the new Sanyo Taho E4100 online immediately for a price of $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and in retail stores by January 2011.
