Canon has announced its new PowerShot SD4000 IS Digital Camera, it is the company’s first model to include a high-sensitivity system, known as Canon’s HS SYSTEM to enhance image quality in low-light situations and also to help with the reduction of noise at high ISO speeds. The new PowerShot SD4000 features a 10 Megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a f/2.0 lens with 28mm wide angle, 3.8x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.
The Canon’s HS SYSTEM along with the f/2.0 lens enables the user to take quality photos without the use of flash. There is also the DIGIC 4 image processor and a high-speed burst rate of 8.4fps. Other than taking quality photos the SD4000 can also record 1280×720p HD video and also gives the option to watch on your HDTV using its HDMI output. Other features include Smart Shutter, ISO 3200, Face Detection, and a 3-inch LCD display.

The PowerShot SD4000 Digital Camera will be available at the end of May for a price of $349.99 and comes in the colors of red, black and silver.
