In addition to the new value-driven 32-inch V321 LCD display, NEC also announced the S401 and S461 LCD Displays for Digital Signage Applications. These are the newest units in NEC’s new S Series, the 40-inch S401 and 46-inch S461 that are designed for digital signage and entertainment applications in environments like airport, hospitality, boardrooms and public areas.
The S401 and S461 both feature 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 450cd/m2 brightness, 8ms response time, business-grade panel with advanced cooling design, built-in expansion slot, enhanced video wall capabilities, AmbiBright and carbon footprint meter. Other specifications includes S-Video inputs, RS-232 in/out, IR and DDC/CI control ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA, BNC (RGBHV), composite and component for connectivity.
The S401 and S461 will be available for April 2010 shipment at an estimated street price of $1,399.99 and $1,799.99, respectively. Tuner versions (S401-AVT and S461-AVT versions) will be available as well for $1,549.99 and $1,949.99, respectively.
