Users to Boycott Facebook?

Facebook 2008
Facebook groups have been formed to oppose the site’s newly designed interface. According to PC World magazine there are over 2.7 million supporters in some of these groups. The groups are planning on boycotting the social network website during the weekend of Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 just to show how much they hate the new design.

According to a comment posted on the website the lovers of the new design has started a group called “We actually LOVE the new Facebook design” with over 23k members already. According to Loopy Gadgets (:0) facebook presently has approximately 100 million active users so a 2.7 million boycott won’t do much good.

EPOS-lite wireless menu

EPOS-lite wireless menu
Fancy restaurants will get even more fancy when the EPOS-lite start digitize the menus. The EPOS- lite is a design concept for a tablet that will take your order and also serves as a wireless payment device. It is a low maintenance product that can be charged same place on your table top using a wireless charging option, (must be some new technology.)

Stephen Allport, the designer who came up with this concept, I guess he was tired of the same old order and payment ritual. Plus the fact that the person billing your card is unknown to you.

iPod Nano Chromatic

Nano Chromatic
Apple gave its nano a face lift, hence Nano Chromatic. Its not as short as the previous version, 3.6 inches (90.7 mm) in height, 1.5 inches (38.7 mm) in width and weighs only 36.8 grams. Its available in 9 different colors. According to Apple the Nano Chromatic is the world’s largest small screen (makes sense?) to me it does. It has high-resolution 2-inch (diagonal) liquid crystal LCD display with blue-white LED backlight and adjustable contrast plus 320-by-240-pixel resolution that gives you 204 pixels per inch.

The Nano Chromatic supports basically the same audio formats AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF. The nano chromatic is available in 8GB or 16GB storage capacity. The 8GB can store up to 2000 songs and the 16GB gives you the capability to store approximately 4000 songs. Get the 8GB from apple online store for $149 and the 16GB for $199.
