Apple’s Wireless Hard Drive

Another Apple product that was in the news yesterday is the New Apple Wireless Hard Drive also called the time capsule. The hard drive (Time Capsule) is a companion piece for Time Machine, the automated back up system built in to OS X. The box has a Hard Drive and a Airport Extreme N adapter for wireless communication with you Mac’s in your home. The Time Capsule can be set to automatically backup all of the Macs you own on a regular basis. Will be available in 500GB ($299) and 1TB ($499) storage.

MacBook Air

There is an ultrathin MacBook in town, Intel you have some real competition. Apple unveiled the MacBook Air yesterday January 15th, “We’ve built the world’s thinnest notebook—without sacrificing a full-size keyboard or a full-size 13-inch display,” said Steve Jobs, apple’s CEO. This has been a rumor for awhile and is now confirmed to be true. Shipping starts within two weeks for $1,799. More information from the press release inside.
