iPod 120GB is coming?

120 GB iPod
It looks like Apple will be able to put out both a iPod 100GB and a iPod 120GB version in the near future - if they want. The drives are certainly available so it’s just a matter of product development. It would be really nice if we could get a widescreen iPod (á la iPhone) featuring at least a 100 GB disk pretty soon…

Motorola slvr L9 Review

Motorola L9Motorola have continued their tradition of the RAZR-like designed phones and the L-series has a new member, the SLVR L9. This phone is a direct successor of the L7 model and they do have a lot in common. In fact, they have almost no difference.

This handset is mainly targeted at the mid-range personal use. It doesn’t have some business enhancements or any media gadgets to offer, so its main purpose is to serve telephony to the users. With a new keypad, added EDGE supportand FM radio and a more powerful camera, L9 is headed to replace the older SLVR model and probably make some new friends on the way.

Super Paper Mario for Nintendo Wii- Revamped

super_paper_mario_nintendo_wii.jpgNintendo gives a shocking new perspective on the most classic of video game themes, and will flip you out in the process.

Though Mario usually only wears one literal hat — the red cap with his initial on it — he’s sported infinite figurative hats in his video game career. The Paper Mario series (and Mario vs. Luigi on handheld) has poked fun at the plumber’s roots while offering a more in-depth, role-playing affair. In the first Wii appearance for Nintendo’s main man, it continues this path while also paying homage to the 2D platforming that made Mario such a superstar in the first place.

At first, it’s tough to distinguish Super Paper Mario from the NES Super Mario Bros.: Hold the remote in traditional controller fashion, and find yourself running to the right, jumping on Goombas and going down pipes. Sure, that was one of the greatest games of all time, but it may make those of lesser Nintendo faith think, “This is next-gen?” After all, you can buy the original game on Virtual Console for $5. Quickly, you find out that this world that looks so natural, so historic in flat, two dimension hides a shocking 3D perspective: At the push of a button, Mario immerses himself in the Mushroom Kingdom in a way that is simultaneously old and new.

Olympus Stylus 1000

Olympus Stylus 1000 digital camera
When I bought my last point-and-shoot camera, the Nikon Coolpix S7c, this camera from Olympus was one of the cameras that caught my attention. It wasn’t available at that time, but the tech specifications made the camera really interesting. First of all it’s a very compact camera, secondly it boosts a 10 megapixel resolution and it also has a gyroscopic sensor to minimize camera shakes. Imaging resource has published a full test of the Olympus Stylus 1000 - and I’m a bit surprised that the camera didn’t get a better conclusion:

If you need a digicam with all-weather seals, this is a good choice, but we did find better printed results with the Olympus Stylus 720 SW, plus drop resistance and full waterproofing. The Stylus 1000 is a decent camera, but not quite a Dave’s Pick.
